you get sweaty palms.
you start speaking in an english accent
you think about the queen and how she's doing now, that ol' gal
you took out your old
sweaters and those thick coats
that you usually reserve for genting and cameron highlands
you tick off your calendars
you start heaping on instant maggi noodles
the ones with mawi on them
because god knows what they're eating there in london!

on the first day, you're enthusiastic.
also on the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth.

then the seventh day.

it hits you like a shot of a gun straight to your gut
you're sitting at the table at breakfast
in the motel you're staying in
breakfast today is cereals
yesterday was buttered bread
and the day before was not-buttered bread
dinner is always the same
instant mawi maggi noodles

it hit you like a bullet
straight to the internal organs
this craving
this need
god, if you didn't know better
you'd think this is true love
or something

then you tell to your tour mate in front of you

(who was eating non-mawi instant noodles by the way

-- sorry. haha. i can't resist. this was supposed to be a serious emo-filled post. but somehow it got sidetracked by my own craving for roti tisu. I WANT IT. I WANT IT BAD. haha! but seriously, everytime i go to somebody's country, i would always crave for something local that is incredibly random. such as, teh tarik or subang parade or hitz.fm morning crew. haha. roti canai. hmm..
