One of my maids ran away. Oh, I am so surprised.
Ok, maybe I was a bit surprised. One, my sister woke me up at 7.30 am, which to me, is OBSCENE. So, I was part groggy and part unconscious. Then, my sister goes, "Kak Seri lari." And I'm like, what?? The problem is she knows the code to our alarm system. So, she can just slink out of the house without waking up the whole neighbourhood. My aunt is currently not around so usually she would sleep in my grandmother's room to accompany her. I know, I know, I'm going to sound like some spoilt brat if I say that things are going to be different when one maid goes. I
Remember the last time we didn't have maids? Well, it was PURE HELL. So, we're gonna be super nice to this last one so that she doesn't scoot either. haha. And there will be loads of shifts of work. Ok, not loads maybe not loads. But things will be a bit different.
Sigh. Damn, one maid lost can really cost you a fortune. My mum has to pay the agency 5 thousand bucks! These days, I see things in a expenses perspective. I just realised how much every damn thing costs! Seriously! The toll prices are enough to make me not want a car! Not excluding petrol costs etc. Blargh.
Anyway, this whole thing actually reminds me of a scenario. Ok, I'm going to write this like the way I write essays when I was in.. Standard 5? haha. So:
It was Thursday night and Atikah was sleeping in late. It was a dark and gloomy night. The clock says it was nearing 1 o'clock in the morning but the girl was still playing with the computer. Suddenly, she saw something. Something was moving at her house's staircase! Atikah was really terrified. She didn't move a muscle. She dropped her headphones and looked around. Everyone else is asleep. Then, she did what she can only think of doing, which is to call someone. So, she thought to herself who is she going to call at almost 1 o'clock in the morning without rudely waking anyone up? Oh, of course, Shafiq!
Haha. Not that I haven't done that to him. The rudely waking him up part except he never really minds so that's why I don't mind. Well, everything in the excerpt above is true! I did see someone and proving that I'm not going raving crazy is that I actually heard footsteps going down the stairs! So, I was freaking out and thinking maybe it's something.. out of this world. So, I needed someone to distract me at the ghastly hour. By the time we hung up, I'm already safely in my room and distracted.
Now, after the whole incident of the maid running away, I have a realistic reason. The maid was that 'something'! Obviously! She was checking if everyone was asleep so she could escape! And since she saw me wide awake, off bets to that! Haish. The next day however, I slept early thus the missing maid.
Sigh. Well, over and out now!
-- didi, when I look at their friendster - the people who call us 'gedik' - I got so pissed! First of all, their pics on their Friendster is like way MORE mengada then us. The mengada buat-buat type. And how dare they call us gedik when they're being all camwhorish jugak! ISH. I hate them now.
