WTF RIGHT???

Somehow, my mum got free travelling package to New Zealand (yes, I know, again) at the 8th of December!!

My prom is 13th of December!!!

Argh!

Now, my mum is in serious pissy mode at me because I'm too stubborn to budge.

Obviously! It's my PROM.

PROM = BIGGEST EVENT IN YOUR HIGH SCHOOL LIFE

Missing it would mean... my high school life isn't complete!

I can't miss it! I won't! It's just not do-able! I will not bent to this will!

Sorry mum and dad but I seriously can't backtrack out of this. I CAN'T. Yes, I know you so well. You'd give me this big guilt trip on how I prefer my friends over you guys but it's not true. I really want this prom. I really do. It's like, a finish to all my high school experiences. Saying no to the prom is just... But saying no to you guys is equally bad. I guess your guilt trip is working.

(It's just that I have a strong feeling that I will not see my friends anymore after high school. Yes, I know. Anymore. It sounds so final but that's reality. So, I want our goodbyes to be a good one. A prom night will be great. It'll be more than great. It'll be a bittersweet perfection.)
