songs are fun yah?

Ok, operation say-no-to-emo is on. It's hard for me to do that right now... Revelations smacking you right in the face... With my blog the place where I say my ultimate truth. You wanna know how I'm feeling? I never ever lie in my blog. I'm just trying to shake off whatever crappy feeling I'm in right now. So, yeah.

Anyway! I made a list of songs I'm listening to currently - maybe you guys should download 'em! They're really nice.

1. Dance, Dance - Fall Out Boy

I love Fall Out Boy! I know that I usually grow out of this kinda bands but I'm willing to make an exception with them because they're so fun! It's like being high on sugar.

2. Love Ridden - Fiona Apple

I LOVE THIS SONG. It's currently my favourite. I've almost memorised all the song's lines. The piano - god, it's so damn great. Recommended for people who love piano pieces. I want to learn how to play the song soon enough. It's a break up song. Probably the only way I would've love this song more is by... breaking up with somebody? hahah.

3. Pupus - Dewa

To tell you the truth, I've been listening to this song for a long time. Way back before Mawi sang the damn song, too. I don't like Mawi's version because ha sang it. I'm sorry to Mawi fans that YOU GUYS HAVE SUCH SUCKY TASTE. But of course now, I'm probably listening to it often because of other reasons...

4. My Sweet Prince - Placebo

Muah! Depressing songs are still my best friends! I love the lyrics. You just gotta listen to the lyrics when you're listening to the song.

5. Magic Hours - Explosions in The Sky

No lyrics because it's instrumental. If you love wordless songs with awesome guitars then this is the song for you! I'm not really into instrumental songs that just reminds me of waterfalls. This is NOT that kind of songs. This song is cool and could be a soundtrack to One Tree Hill or something. It's just that it's 8 minutes long! Also from this band is 'Look Into The Air'.

6. Ready For Love - Bad Company

An old song! Me dad is gonna be so proud of lil' old me. Haha. I was listening to one of my dad's CDs - Classic 70's Rock. This is one of my favourite song from the CD.

7. Faith - Seven Collar T-shirt

I know this may sound stupid but I've never realised how jiwang the song is until I read the lyrics. haha. Actually... I don't want you guys to download off their songs because pity them, man! The CD only cost RM 25! And itupun, you guys nak rip off jugak?? Our artists are starving. Do them a favour and go to Tower Records and buy their CD, ok? Out of 11 songs, I didn't like only two songs. So, it's a good buy if you're into songs that sounds a bit like Radiohead.

8. Song 2 - Blur

Ohmygawd! Download this song! Download! Download! This is the type of song that you hear on tv all the time but you just don't know who the hell sang it or what's the song called. An EXTREMELY fun song for only 2 minutes. Makes you wanna jump on your bed. And scream 'WOHOO!'.

9. Hung Up - Madonna

Lyrics: ... every little thing that you say or do/ i'm hung up/ i'm hung up on you/ waiting for your call/ baby night and day/ i'm fed up/ i'm tired of waiting on you/ time goes by so slowly for those who wait/ no time to hesitate/ those who run seem to have all the fun/ i'm caught up/ i don't know what to do . . .

The background song is so INFECTIOUS. I love it.

10. Let Down - Chester Bennington

Lyrics: . . . oh the winter and spring/ going in hand in hand/ just like my love and pain/ how the thought of you cuts deep within the vein/ oh this brand new skin stretched across scarred terrain . . .

What is it with this man that can make anything sound sexy? I do not know.

11. Fix You - Coldplay

Lyrics: when you try your best, but you don't succeed/ when you get what you want, but not what you need/ when you feel so tired, but you can't sleep/ stuck in reverse/ when the tears come streaming down your face/ when you lose something you can't replace/ when you love someone, but it goes to waste/ could it be worse?

Oh god. I wish I could just paste the whole lyrics in here. Everyone could relate to this song. I could. Especially in the month of November 2005 where my emotions are like rollercoasters. At one point, I was so sick from being deliriously happy to insanely depressed that I just don't want to do anything at all. But yes, I love irony.

12. All Star - Smashmouth

Ok, yeah, this was strictly when I was gonna make some calls for those advertisement things. hahah. I need some encouragement, ok! but it's right, you know, how can you shine without making any effort to glow? Something I try to remind myself everyday.

If you love easy listening songs and great guitars, you'd love this. I've been wanting to download this song ever since I was in Form 1! Took me years to find out what's the title of the song is. Very nice!


15. We Are All On Drugs - Weezer

It's Weezer! What is there not to love?? A fun rock song. A Weezer song that is. In MTV though, the word 'drugs' were replaced by the word 'love'... Geez, listening to this song doesn't make me wanna do drugs! Pfft.

This song is so much fun. I lurve it! Makes you wanna go moshing. Anyway, there is this one time, I was walking with Azfar and all. Then my dad came. So I turned to Azfar and (as usual, I was my crazy self) suggestively said, 'So you wanna ride with me?'. HAHAHA. MAN, I MISS HIM SO MUCH.

17. Telescope Eyes - Eisley

Yeah, heads up from Fifi. Apparently this song is about this girl who doesn't want to be seen with this loser dork. haha. yeah. Weird, listening to this song, it doesn't sound as funny as the lyrics described.

18. Foolish Games - Jewel

Another good piano song! Love love love. Jewel is always great. The lyrics are so awesome beyond words. Beyond words!
