sleepover-less

NO SLEEPOVERS

Apparently a new logic-free rule made from my mum. I don't understand it either. I mean, why not?? It's just a group of girls hanging out, gossiping, pigging out and just talking about crap. And you know, do our hairs or watch chick flicks or in gg's sleepover's case - TITANIC. God, I watched that movie when I was 7! Don't you think that movie is a wee little bit heavy? What with the whole thing about the ship sinking and the hot and heavy romance going on... I mean, how can you focus on that - and not fall asleep?? I do not know.

Anyway, I had a feeling that my mum won't let me earlier on. It's called instincts. Or maybe just living with her since the start of my birth. Of course I told my mum that everything is gonna be fine and all that. Her parents are not going to be home and it's gg's birthday so why not? Everyone's gonna be there! Ok, not everyone but in her circle of friends, ya know? And I am in that circle. And if anything weird happens, Diana's parents are just next door. And my phone is fully charged. And well, what harm can we do? What harm can I do?

Then she told me: I just don't like my children to be sleeping in other people's house.

HUH???!!?

I stopped my argument right then because that - just - doesn't - make - any - sense. I can't manipulate something I don't even get! And when I asked why, she just pressed on the statement even more, not even bothering to explain. In other words, I gave up. Because I just can't go around it. And she said that if it bothered me so much to teman gg while her parents are away then ask her parents to call my mum about it.

THATS LIKE SO MENYUSAHKAN! For gg's parents, that is. And I think it's pretty much too late for that since they're flying all the way to the States right about now. Ugh. Most people get yes or no answers ok! Observe:

Kid: Mum, can I go to gg's sleepover?
Parent: Kat mana?
Kid: Gg. You know, gg. Alah, gglah.
Parent: Oh. Rumah dia kat mana?
Kid: SS 19. Sebelah rumah Diana. Satu row dengan *insert name here*.
Parent: Bile?
Kid: Tomorrow night. Birthday dia hari tu. Parents dia takde. Boleh tak?
Parent: You guys nak buat apa? Celebrate lah nih.
Kid: Yeah... Boleh tak??
Parent: Hmmpmph ok.
Kid: Ok! Alrighty.

See? It's so easy. While I have to see if the 'environment' is alright. As in if she's in a good mood because that 'affects' her answer. And even though she's having a happy sappy mood, most likely it'll be a no-no. And they wonder so much why I wanted to study abroad. I think that decision is a no-brainer. So, ok, none of that spoilt brat shit about me, ok? Yeah sure, I do get luxuries now and then but there is no way in hell that I get whatever I want. It doesn't work that way, honey.

Anyway, since we're already in the topic of gg's birthday and sleepover, I might as well pimp her birthday!

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN GG!!!!!!

-- At least, I get to make pizzas.

okay first things first. Titanic came out in 1999, you're way past 7 by then. And that was the first and the last time I watched Titanic. Until the sleepover of course. ANd it was 'exilarating'. Its been a while since I watched a tear jerking movie. And I understand the story more now since I am more mature. I enjoyed it. Though a first I was really trying to push my way out of watching it. And secondly, you didn't make those pizzas, all you did was cut cheese and spread paste. Ahahaha. Nah kidding. It was great wasn't it?!
