A Walk to Remember

I've seen the movie but I haven't read the book. Until today. I finished the book within hours - less than 24 hours in fact. I was that captivated. I don't know how to explain it. I mean the prose is just plain normal. And there are funny parts, since the narrarator is a 17 year old boy. But it has something... Something endearing and sweet about it. It makes your heart go boom and suddenly you realised you had been sighing. Involuntarily. It's just...sigh. Sweet is the word. And yes, I can't lie to you, I sorta - in a way - cried in the end. Ok, not the bawling and wailing for a tissue kind of crying. My eyes were just sort of dewy. That's all.

'First you will smile, and then you will cry-'

How true is that!

Now, I love the movie AND the book. The book isn't special or anything. It's just... sweet.
