Home La La Home!

It has been two days since I got home from the whirlwind of the 10 day trip to New Zealand. To tell you the truth, I planned to write my visit with details and all but it got postponed and now, I don't feel like it. Peh. Well geez people! It's not easy to write ten days in one blog post ya know! Shucks, I even planned it in my head while I'm in NZ for god sakes! I wanted to write it right when I get back from KLIA. Like zoom off from the taxi and straight to the computer when the air of NZ is still fresh in my mind. But I slept. Double peh. I really can't do like Miz does on her camp thing. There is just to much to tell!

AND THE BOYS THERE! Marvellous creatures...But then again, I'm biased since I think all white-skinned things on two legs are beautiful. But the ones I've seen are BONAFIDE HOTTIES. Of course there are the not-so-pretty-ones but do you really expect everybody to be models?? My favourite one (man.. I sound like some old spinster judging her gigolos or something...) was this Brazilian dude who volunteered to take our picture. He is so hot! And he's been to Malaysia before - 2 months before he headed to NZ actually. So that's why he is so relax around us. Trust me, those people there, knows where is Singapore but doesn't know squat what M'sia is. If we say it's some kind of food, they probably buy it. :)

Anyway, you know what the Brazilian dude say? He said: 'OoOh! Malaysia iz very hot.*pauses* VERY HOT!' IT WAS THE CUTEST THING EVER! Thanks to Ronaldo and those football players, when I think of Brazilians, all I can think is dark-skinned ppl with a knack with kicking. But this dude is sort of fair and very tall and looks like a model! He's a backpacker! Cool or what! Don't know about his kicking abilities though.

Actually there is loads of backpackers here. Backpackers can be identified by their enormously large backpacks. Or for some, groceries in the backseat of a car. There are loads of motels here - and I've been to 5 or 6 or so. See? I am not made out of money! The motels aren't bad. They're actually really nice! It's not like the scary ones in M'sia. The great things about motels are they have laundry and stoves even microwaves! All of 'em have. It's so easy - so if you wanna eat dinner but nothing fancy - just go to a nearby supermarket and buy spaghetti or frozen food and cook in your room! And some are so spacious! It's awesome really.

Well, I'm betting you guys wanna know what I have been doing, huh? Pretty much A LOT. Shopping is a must. Cameras Galore!! There is this one time when the light was right and the scenery was looking gorgeous so we end up taking 50 pictures of the same mountain! And we stopped at so many places that we end up walking a few miles just to take pictures.

Unfortunately, we lost 127 photos because of truly yours... That is right! I lost the goddamn digi camera! Me?! Of all people! Shoot... It all started like this - we just finished our lunch and I was sipping my hot chocolate (which was sinfully delicious at that!) when I heard my mum said something. I dind't quite hear it so I chose to ignore it instead. Heheh. Not the smartest choice to do since the thing my mum said was 'Atikah, amik camera kat atas meja.' . And so, there goes our camera. But we brought our manual camera one so the Camera Galore thing was still on. I got a lecture though. A snarky one plak tuh! Grrr... I was seething like a madman. I mean honestly! If they're so bloody responsible, why didn't they take it?! Responsibility, my arse. Back to the activities...

I have trudged in mud to see some scandalous penguins, watched as an army of sheep crossed the road, mesmerized with the sight of waterfalls, got sick (thanks to my sister), played the luge ( YOU MUST PLAY IT), and once in Dunedin, it was raining ice. The raining ice bit was fun! Actually we did nothing but stood near the porch so we can see the ice clearly. It was really small - if not, there will be a hole in my head. The Kiwis (that's what the NZ people call themselves) weren't even excited... Guess they seen it dozens of time. But dang! You should see my family - we were chirpy!

The penguins pun best because this wasn't like zoos! It is more awesome than that! We have to wear this really thick rubber raincoat (coz it was raining) and we have to run around in this underground tunnel to peep at the penguins! Underground tunnels! Whoa isn't it! There is this penguin couple which is interesting. Donna and Doug. Donna 'divorced' Doug in 2003 and got together with this other penguin named Josh! But they got back together again in 2004 because Josh mysteriously disappears... Foul play? Maybe! There was also seals and seagulls and shtuff. We got really close to the seals. There is this one - who was sitting on this rock - got all mad because we were so close. Like 10 metres away! The seal was grunting and yelping and all. I could just hug it!

The luge is one awesome game! It's like go-karts without the gasoline and engine. So, it's like nature-friendly. Hamiza must be thrilled that she is not alone in this world...hahahah! Kidding! But it is really fun! If you go to NZ, YOU MUST PLAY IT. First, take the scenic route so you can get use to the steering and all. AND THEN, you take the advanced route which ROCKS MY SOCKS! There is this one time, I was zooming and all and there is this one really really steep slope. Damn scary! I thought I was going to loose control of the thing but I didn't. I was kinda freaked because I keep bumping into borders before (I'm a sucky driver) and suddenly, I got this steep slope! Madness! But I survived. IT'S A MUST-DO for all tourists that comes to NZ! Higly recommended!

And guess what! My parents spent RM 600 on chocolates! Mad or what?! Yep, I've been to the chocolate factory which is pretty cool. The whole place smells like chocolate! Like you enter the door of the factory and you're swarmed with this chocolate-y smell of choc. Yum... I never thought inhaling air could be so tasty... I would probably bring some for you guys to taste...Maybe... THEY'RE ALL MINE! There are many yg takde kat M'sia. Like Turkish Delight, Country Fudge, Three Wishes, Curly Wurly, Chew and lots more. There is this one Charlie and the Chocolate Factory moment though. The lady said it since I never read the book before. A chocolate waterfall! She pressed this button and a whole lotta chocolate just dumped in front of you! Cool eyh?

But one thing with Kiwis are that they are mega-friebdly and mega-happy. Gg, this is where your friends are!! I mean honestly, don't they have PMS or something?! They're always happy. Like you walk around and stuff and all they say is 'MARVELLOUS! WONDERFUL! LOVELY!'. I love the people here. And the scenery is damn beautiful. So beautiful that it makes you want to join PeaceCorps. or something. Or Hug A Tree. hahahahah

Truthfully, I wanna tell you more but malas gilerlah. Maybe my next post! seeya.
